GLAS, PLEXI is the first solo exhibition by Paola Petrobelli in Venice, presented on the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia and the tenth edition of The Venice Glass Week. 
    The exhibition unfolds as an open-ended body of modular sculptures in Murano glass and Plexiglas, conceived as freely composable systems continuously shifting through light, colour and arrangement. Balancing seriality and improvisation, rigour and playfulness, the works explore how repetition and variation generate continually changing configurations. Through modules, tools, moulds, studies and unfinished arrangements, the project reflects on modularity as a way of negotiating authorship, material behaviour and spatial atmosphere.
